Base Behaviours are the "sensors" you can place inside of your instance of salesforce to observe when, who, and what business behaviours your users are completing.

Permission(s) required - Motivation Designer is required to define and update Base Behaviours.

When a user completes an action in salesforce that meets a Base Behaviour's criteria then an Insight record is created to record who, when and what was completed, and on which salesforce record.

Base Behaviours can also be used in Competitions where points can be rewarded for completing the behaviour.

'Seed' Base Behaviours are automatically installed during The Sumo installation process for customisation and adaptation.

Tip: Use a copy of a seed Base Behaviours by cloning an original to avoid loss of customised criteria or detail as seed data can be updated or replaced during a software upgrade.
