Sensai Deployment in Salesforce
Updated over a week ago

Sensai provides two broad types of functionality for customers:

  1. AI Forecasting capabilities that have been specifically designed for sales managers and leaders, and

  2. AI Guided Selling on Opportunities designed for sales reps.

Users should be assigned the appropriate Sensai permission sets (as below) based on the Sensai functionality that is to be implemented in the Salesforce org.

The two Sensai User Types can be summarised as follows:

Sensai Admin: Users that require access to the AI Forecasting capabilities are required to be assigned the Sensai Admin permission set, plus the clone of the Permission Set created in the Post-Install Steps, e.g. "Sensai Admin - Clone". Sensai Admins are also able to perform integration actions between the Salesforce org and the Sensai web application.

Sensai User: Users that require access to the AI Guided Selling capabilities are required to be assigned the Sensai User permission set. This provides access to the Sensai components in Lightning Experience for Opportunity Predictions and Recommendations.

Note: For the Sensai for SuMo package, all Sensai users must also be assigned a Sumo for Salesforce licence.

Sensai User Types

To assign the Sensai user types to individual users, perform the following steps:

  1. Enter Setup by clicking on the icon at the top of the screen

  2. Navigate to Administration > Users > Permission Sets

  3. Click on the name of the Sensai User permission set

  4. Click on the Manage Assignments button

  5. Click on the Add Assignments button

  6. Select the users to whom the permission should be assigned using the checkboxes

  7. Click on the Assign button

  8. Repeat steps 3 to 7 for the Sensai Admin permission set

Note: Any users that are assigned the Sensai Admin permission set must also be assigned the cloned permission set that was created in the Post-Install Steps

Salesforce Sensai Opportunity component

For customers using Sensai's AI Guided Selling capabilities, the following component should be deployed to the Opportunity Lightning Record Page in the Salesforce org. The following steps describe how the component should be added to the page layout.

  1. Navigate to an Opportunity record in Lightning Experience

  2. Click on the Setup icon at the top of the screen and in the menu select Edit Page

  3. In the Lightning App Builder under Custom - Managed lightning components, drag the Sensai Opportunity component onto the layout as shown below:

Sensai Opportunity Component
  1. [Optional] Click on the Sensai Opportunity component and in the right-side panel, set the maximum number of Next Best Actions and Damaging Behaviours that should be displayed in the component.

Note: This optional step applies only to the Sensai for Sumo package, these options are not provided in the Sensai for Salesforce package.

  1. Click the Save button

Salesforce Sensai Explainer component

For customers that want to use Sensai's Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) capabilities, the following component should be deployed to the Opportunity Lightning Record Page in the Salesforce org. The following steps describe how the component should be added to the page layout.

Note: The Sensai Explainer component is available in both the Sensai for Sumo (v1.23 or higher) and Sensai for Salesforce (v1.4 or higher) packages.

  1. Navigate to an Opportunity record in Lightning Experience.

  2. Click on the Setup icon at the top of the screen and in the menu select Edit Page.

  3. In the Lightning App Builder under Custom - Managed lightning components, drag the Sensai Explainer component onto the layout either above or below the Sensai Opportunity component (if this has already been configured).

  4. [Optional] Click on the Sensai Explainer component and in the right-side panel, users are able to specify a different Model Id to drive the prediction and contributions in the component. When a Model ID is specified, this Model will be used instead of the Model that is set on the Connection for the Salesforce org in the Sensai Webapp.

  5. Click the Save button.

Sensai is now installed and ready to use!
