Quotas allow you to set sales targets for your teams.
We upload a file that assigns a quota to each salesperson.
Once quotas are set, you can track the sales performance of each salesperson against their quota and see how they are performing in the Forecasts page.
Quotas can be set on a monthly basis and combined for quarterly forecasts. Quota attainment can be tracked throughout the forecasting period to show comparative performance to previous periods.
Creating a Quota File
Your upload file should be in CSV format with the following 5 columns.
UserId: The salesforce user id of the salesperson for whom the quota is being set. This must be the full 18-character User ID.
Value: The quota value for the salesperson.
CurrencyIsoCode: The ISO currency code in which the quota is set (eg EUR, USD, GBP).
StartDate: The start date of the quota period in the format yyyy-mm-dd.
Period: An indicator of the period for which the quota is being set, i.e. ’month’ or ’annual’.
You can find a sample template file here.
Loading a Quota File
Load one quota record for each salesperson per month or one annual quota per person.
To upload your file, click on "Upload Quotas" area or drag and drop you file into the upload area.
Once the quotas are uploaded you will be able to download the file at a later time to make any changes.
If you have multiple connections set up, you will need to select a Salesforce org from the list to associate the quotas with.
Ongoing Quota Management
Once the quotas have been set you can make changes by uploading a new file containing the changes that need to be applied.
Alternatively, you can update a user's quota values directly by searching for the user in the "Sales representative" search field below.
